The NFL Draft is this Saturday and Sunday!!! I'll be parked in front of the TV all weekend long. (Yes, I know I'm a sick, twisted individual.)
The 49ers solved a lot of their problems through free agency, but there are a few priorities they should address in the following order:
1) A speedy blue chip receiver to complement Terrell Owens (or to replace him if his attitude doesn't improve). JJ Stokes clearly doesn't cut it as a 2nd receiver. He is also overpaid and must agree to a salary cut to stay with the team.
2) A third cornerback in order to compete with the likes of the St. Louis Rams wide receivers.
3) A defensive lineman. Either a stud pass rusher (those are hard to come by) or a tackle to compliment Bryant Young.
4) Offensive line help. They will be younger on the line this year do to the free agent signing of Ron Stone, but they could use a young tackle to eventually replace Derrick Deese.
The 49ers don't have as many gaping holes to fill this year. They're not looking for starters, just solid backups to help with a playoff run. It's gonna be a fun year!!!
