LICKING MY WOUNDS
As the Senior Bro said, I gave him a congratulatory phone call minutes after the declawing of the Jaguars and the crashing of the Jets. Just thought I should put it in writing though, the trophy was hard fought and justly won by the Senior Bro. Stay tuned for the awards ceremony sometime this month.
PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS
Despite losing the trophy this year, I believe I had a better percentage (correct me if I'm wrong Senior Bro) than last year, so perhaps my insights on the playoff games would be appropriate.
The two hottest teams entering the playoffs appear to be the Eagles and Patriots, with teams like Kansas City, Dallas, and Carolina doing an end of season fade. My two darkhorses are Baltimore and Green Bay.
As for this week's games:
Baltimore over Tennessee - the Ravens are at home, where they have been dominating this season. They also appear to have the momentum.
Carolina over Dallas - the Cowboys have come too far, too fast. So have the Panthers, but they're at home.
Green Bay over Seattle - this appears to be an easy pick. The Pack have beaten the Seasquawks once already this season, and Seattle has only beaten the woeful 49ers away from home this season.
Indianapolis over Denver - the Broncos haven't exactly been impressing people lately, granted their blowout loss to the Packers was "meaningless."
SUPERBOWL PICKS-
Despite the Patriots' huge winning streak, I'm picking the Ravens to go the same route as they did in their Superbowl winning year and take the AFC crown.
The NFC seems much more iffy. I think it will be either the Rams or Eagles. I'm going with Philadelphia simply because the Rams lost momentum with the season ending loss to the Lions with home field advantage on the line.
Let's take Philadelphia over Baltimore in the BOWL!
