Niner News
Busy offseason for the 49ers. They've already lost their starting quarterback, running back, wide receiver, two offensive linemen, and a starting cornerback, most of whom were cut because of their cap figure. The 49ers offense will be a totally different unit next year, having lost close to half of its starters (possibly more than half in Tai Streets leaves via free agency).
Terrell Owens is the perfect example of a person who got what he deserved. He gripes and moans about the team during the season, and trashes the Niners even more after the season. Then his agent fails to file the neccesary paperwork to make Owens a free agent, meaning the 49ers maintain his right.
The team traded T.O. this week to Baltimore for a second round draft pick when they otherwise would have received nothing for him. Having missed out on lucritive free agent dollars, Owens is already complaining about being with the Ravens. He says the 49ers stabbed him in the back by trading him there instead of Philly. I say, "GOOD, SERVES HIM RIGHT!" Owens reminds me of Rod Tidwell, the wide receiver from the movie Jerry McGuire. It's always about him and what he hasn't got and how everything is somebody elses fault. I say again, SERVES HIM RIGHT!!!
