Now that feels better
Didn't get to chime in here the other day when Sean and I logged another
seven splits between us, and I must say that I was pretty nervous about
my prospects of having a good week. In fact, I didn't watch the outcomes
of the early games because I headed out to the Oakley Almond Festival
with my wife and son. At that point, around noon, I was leading in two
and trailing in another two. I was surprised to come home and discover
I'd won three of them. I was also surprised to see that the one I'd lost
-- Colts-Vikings -- I'd been leading comfortably. Just goes to show that
a lot of this sport (from the perspective of a couch potato
prognosticator) is luck. Also lucky was getting that Cowboys win Monday evening. I would have put
money on the Eagles taking the ball on last possession and getting
another TD.
Am I disappointed about the outcome of the San Diego-Denver game. You
betcha. I'm very glad I wasn't watching it live! But I won't complain
about the week's success. When was the last time I had a three-game lead
over Junior Bro? Been a very long time. Now I've got to figure out how
to keep the momentum going, which is about as tough to do as getting the
Raiders back-to-back victories.
